Saturday 23 May - Sunday 31 May 2020
Scouts from our district have ventured abroad regularly. Adding an international dimension to our programme brings together our young people; adult volunteers through big adventures. Scouts work together in teams of a similar age and ability.
Our professionally-led activity programme includes:
■ white water rafting
■ climbing and via ferrata
■ high ropes and zip wire
■ mountain hut
■ luge (sledge)
■ town visit
■ Aiguille du Midi cable car

We leave by coach from Washington Services on the morning of Saturday 23 May. We’ve used our coach company, North East Coach Travel many times. We have enjoyed faultless support from them over the years and the company comply with all relevant standards of safety. We cross the English channel via Dover-Calais by ferry and travel south east across France to the Alps. We arrive at lunchtime on Sunday and Natacha Camier, our host, greets us with a welcome meal. The chalet has a good standard of accommodation. Scouts sleep in rooms of 4-6 young people. Each room has a shower and toilet. There is a games room, an online IT suite, an outdoor all-weather games pitch and a lounge. |
